1. Never Pay Upfront

Never wire money, send crypto, or pay deposits for a pet you have not met in person. Scammers will often demand money for "shipping" or "reservations". Always meet the breeder and the pet first.

2. Meet in a Safe Location

When meeting to adopt or purchase a pet, choose a safe, public, and well-lit location. If possible, bring a friend or family member with you.

3. Ask for Documentation

A reputable breeder will be happy to provide vet records, vaccination history, and their breeder registration certificates if applicable.

4. Report Suspicious Activity

If a user asks for money upfront, refuses to let you see the pet, or acts aggressively, cease communication immediately. Use the red Report button located inside their chat window to alert our administration team.
